Sometimes, people act to be cool. However, one must practice something for that something to be effective.

Multiplying Two Digit No. by Another Two Digit No.

For example:

Multiply 81*72

1. 1*2 to get the last digit

2. [Cross-multiply] 8*2 + 7*1 to get the second to the last digit:

  • 8*2 = 16
  • 7*1 = 7
  • 16 +7 = 23
  • just write 3
  • 2 is a remainder

3. 8*7 + [the remainder] 2 to get the first digit

  • 8*7 = 56
  • 56 + 2 = 58

4. the answer is 5832;

what you get from step three is flexible. The least numbers of digits you could get from multiplying a two digit no. to another two digit no. is three. The maximum is four.

Techniques like this are easier to use for those who can add numbers really fast.

Stupidity

Stupidity is when I do something that I know will make things bad or worse.

Stupidity is when I choose to do the bad thing(s) instead of the good ones.

Stupidity is when I am too proud of myself.

Stupidity is when I am too mad for any sense.

Stupidity is the inability to restrain oneself from doing things that will probably bring harm to him or her physically, emotionally, or mentally. It is not paying attention to someone and letting him or her do something without giving it a proper thought. It is also advocating another person to remain stupid and obey other people without second thoughts and/in order to remain dependent.

Voice

I agree with Kyoko Mori when she writes “I value the overall spirit or genuine voice in my students’work” in her essay entitled School. Not only is it hard to write freely and express oneself explicitly, it is also an endless battle with the mind. Thoughts could clearly form in one’s head, but s/he can find it extremely difficult to truly or fully convey those ideas to another person. Sometimes it is due to the thoughts being to fast for a person to grasp it, elaborate on it, or even write it down. Sometimes it is due to ambiguity and uncertainty that one begins to waver and mistrust the thought even before s/he shares it. These are my reasons for concurring with Mori that voice or spirit is an important aspect in one’s writing(s) and must be acknowledge. She explains in an interview that voice/spirit is more than style and sentence structures, it is giving the writing(s) a voice and/or a character of its own.

Teaching

When you are a teacher, please teach us.

Do not just tell us how it is done.

Do not just show us how to do it.

Explain it to us so that we can understand.

And guide us back if we get lost.

Do not brag to us about how well you can do it.

You are a teacher, you are supposed to be able to do it!

Do not reiterate how smart you are.

Because then you completely label yourself as a showoff.

We are not enhancing your skills.

You are supposed to enhance ours.

How Long Does It Take for Earth’s Magnetic Field to Reverse?
As end of the world scenarios begin to ramp up with 2012 now in play, I figured it would be timely to post one of the debunk facts about the switching of our magnetic field reversal which some believe to occur in a matter of days. Most of the folks who believe this we’re likely duped by another 2012 site.
The time it takes for Earth’s magnetic field to reverse polarity is approximately 7000 years, but the time it takes for the reversal to occur is shorter at low latitudes than at high latitudes, a geologist funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) has concluded. Brad Clement of Florida International University published his findings in this week’s issue of the journal Nature. The results are a major step forward in scientists’ understanding of how Earth’s magnetic field works.
The magnetic field has exhibited a frequent but dramatic variation at irregular times in the geologic past: it has completely changed direction. A compass needle, if one existed then, would have pointed not to the north geographic pole, but instead to the opposite direction. Such polarity reversals provide important clues to the nature of the processes that generate the magnetic field, said Clement.
Since the time of Albert Einstein, researchers have tried to nail down a firm time-frame during which reversals of Earth’s magnetic field occur. Indeed, Einstein once wrote that one of the most important unsolved problems in physics centered around Earth’s magnetic field. Our planet’s magnetic field varies with time, indicating it is not a static or fixed feature. Instead, some active process works to maintain the field. That process is most likely a kind of dynamic action in which the flowing and convecting liquid iron in Earth’s outer core generates the magnetic field, geologists believe.

Hypophrenia

hypophrenia

175 up54 down
If you go to any medical-scientific dictionary you will find hypophrenia means “mentally retarded.”

However, a lot of dumb 12 year olds on tumblr think it means “a vague feeling of sadness, seemingly without cause .” causing them to write sad little posts and desperate asks on yahoo answers about their hypophrenia and how to get rid of it
Maybe they really do have hypophrenia
from:
If you look it up on the Internet, it really means mentally retarded. ^^
